This Fall, the library will once more host the Crafting Club. We also look forward to a Responsible Research program and a Reading/Writing Club. It will be a bustling year in the library! We are nearing the finish line. Only two more weeks! It's amazing how quickly time flies in the library. This summer the library is having new flooring installed, so everything is being packed up. All items have been requested back, all due by end of day tomorrow.
Don't fear, however, you still have your local library to supplement your summer reading, and for an assortment of activities and programs. Depending on where you live, check out these links: North Grenville Public Library SD&G County Library Perth & District Library Edwardsburgh Cardinal Public Library Ottawa Public Library Thank you! May 18th and 19th will go down, for St. Michael Catholic High School, as the greatest days to giveaway books. We want to share! Why would we throw them out when they can find a new happy home? Through both donations and collection weeding, we have a large assortment of items up for grabs. Come in, have a look and take some home with you. Donations - in any amount - will be accepted but are not expected.
Often we forget that creative genius can come from anywhere, even our own backyards. Proof of that exists in our grade eight students. We were so impressed with the poetry that they produced, that we have made a display in the library to show off their amazing skills. Wait and watch because, with their permission, we will post some of their works here. I'm always proud of our students, but this has brought me close to bursting. Way to go guys! Keep writing! You are amazing!
